Rental Information

What do I need to hire a vehicle?

We need to see all of the following documentation at the time of hire:

  • Driver's Licence
    • A current full driver's licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
    • Aged 25-68 years old
    • The hard of copy of either your photocard or old paper style licence
    • No serious endorsements on your driving licence- (IN10-MS90-DR10)
    • If hiring a 7.5t Truck, you will need to hold a C1 category on your licence
  • Your Drivers Record
    • ​You will need a recent print out of your drivers record or a check code from the DVLA on collection of the vehicle, You can obtain these by visiting the following DVLA website - 
    • We can do this for you, either on the day of collection of hire vehicle or before commencement of hire. But we will require for you to Tell us your National Insurance number.

Secondary form of identification

We require two other forms of ID that are in the same address as your driving licence. This can either be of the following: -

  • Utility Bill-Gas, electricity, water, council tax bill
  • Bank statement
  • Telephone Bill
  • These all must be dated within the last 3 months
  • We cannot accept passports, as these show no proof of address


  • All prices quoted include insurance
  • A £200 deposit to be taken by debit/credit card. This is fully refundable providing the vehicle is returned undamaged & refuelled & mileage allowance of 100 miles per day hasn't been exceeded.
  • Additional mileage will be charged at 10ppm + VAT
  • American express & charge cards not accepted
  • We do offer a discounted rental price if you use your own insurance
  • Our insurance excess is payable in the event of an accident or theft of vehicle.
  • You are liable for any damage up to the insurance excess amount
  • The insurance excess may be increased if there are any endorsements on the hirers licence
  • We do a Pre-Authorisation on the debit or credit card for the deposit & rental fee, which is then refunded upon return of vehicle. Please note this may take between 3-4 working days to be released to your bank account.

Vehicle Damage

  • In the event of any damage during the duration of the vehicle hire. You will be liable for the cost of the full insurance excess
  • OVERHEAD damage is not covered by our insurance cover and you will be fully liable for all costs involved
  • Punctured Tyres are down to the customer
  • Windscreen damage is fully rechargeable

Hiring period/Returns/Rental Extensions

  • Our hiring period is 8am-8am
  • Failure to return the vehicle by 8am the following day, will incur a further day's hire charge being applied
  • Returns are to be made during office opening hours only. Any vehicle returned out of hours, remains the sole responsibility of the hirer until the vehicle keys are handed to a member of staff.
  • If you wish to extend the hire period, you will need to notify us at the earliest opportunity

Congestion / Dart Charges/Pcn's

  • All of our fleet is on a congestion auto pay account
  • You will need to notify a member of staff if you are going to enter the congestion zone, so we can add the charge to your bill
  • If entering the ULEZ all our vehicles are all EURO 6 compliant
  • Dartford toll crossings are the full responsibility of the customer to ensure this is payed, if using the crossing
